Frost Fest comes to fruition
Inspired by Collaboration Fest that happens every year, El Paso County Parks and Rec is putting on their own collaboration brew festival to celebrate and support local parks! Oh and some other events.
First off, if you’re free on March 30, you should head up to Denver for the Colorado Brewers Guild’s Collaboration Fest.
It’s bigger than ever this year with over 180 breweries collaborating on over 140 unique beers made just for the fest. The festival will take place once again at The Westin Westminster, which proved to be a great location last year. Get your tickets here
Ok, now onto Frost Fest. The fest will happen on May 11th, which is still a little under 2 months away, but details are starting to emerge…make sure to save the date in your calendars!
All proceeds from Frost Fest will go toward supporting our local parks, and akin to other local fests like Feast of Saint Arnold (Tickets on sale) or the All Colorado Beer Fest (RIP), the festival will have a judging aspect to determine the best beer of the festival, with the winner being awarded the prestigious “Pikes Peak Pinnacle Brew” award. The winning brewer and beer name will be featured on a trail marker in the Pikes Peak Region for one year, providing a long-lasting recognition for a local brewery, as well.
I don’t know of a ticket link to purchase tickets just yet, but will provide that once I have it!

Fight the Powers
My podcast project with Side Dish, tap & table, just released its sixth episode today! Featuring Travis Fields and Michael Kelty, we dive into life on the East side. It would really help us out if you subscribed to our channel on YouTube, even if you get your podcasts elsewhere!
Also, make sure you stop in at FH, Nano and PnP for the tail end of the Beermuda Triangle Eastside Passport, an Irish-themed beer event collaboration between three of the long standing Eastside breweries. Keith Hernandez, Nano 108’s head brewer, makes a special appearance in the episode to talk about the project and the beers…go get some!
Visit each brewery for a beer and passport stamp, then submit your completed passport to any four (PnP Fountain included) locations. One lucky beer-lover with a completed passport will win a $50 gift card from each brewery!
Happy Birthday Side Dish
Today marks the date for Side Dish with Schniper’s first birthday, and they’re throwing a party at Red Gravy. I know it’s last minute, but maybe you don’t want to cook tonight?
WestFax’s 8th Anniversary
I know they’re not open yet down here, but WestFax is celebrating it’s 8th Anniversary this weekend. If you find yourself in Denver, pop in, wish them well and see if they’ll commit to an opening date down here. I’m kidding on that last part.
Purploid ReRelease Tomorrow
Purploid, Goat Patch’s beloved Blueberry Kettle Sour, returns to the Taproom on Friday, March 22nd at 5 pm!
There’s definitely more going on out there that I’ve missed, so go to your local brewery, buy their beer. Rinse. Repeat.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
